Elizabeth McConahy Jenkins concentrates her practice in family law, complex divorce litigation, and mediation. She received her B.A. from Colgate University, graduating magna cum laude, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia. She is admitted to the Kentucky, Virginia and District of Columbia Bars.
Elizabeth is the past chair of the Family Law Section of the Louisville Bar Association, vice chair of the Kentucky Collaborative Family Law Network, and a member of the Kentucky Bar Foundation and the Louisville Bar Foundation. Elizabeth's most recent article, regarding the history and application of the de facto custodian law, appeared in thr July, 2003 issue of the Louisville Bar Briefs. She recently presented a seminar on the effect of shared parenting schedules on statutory child support obligations.
Elizabeth is a member of the Women Lawyers Association and the American, Kentucky, and Louisville Bar Associations. She is the sponsoring attorney for the Pro Se Legal Clinic, volunteers for the Center for Women and Families, Legal Aid and the Brandeis School of Law P.A.S.S. Program. Elizabeth has three boys and enjoys playing and coaching basketball, soccer and running.
She has been mediating family law cases in Jefferson County and surrounding areas since 1995.
