Russell Zaino concentrates his practice in adoption (independent and step-parent); divorce; probate and small business law. His past experience as a bank executive makes him uniquely qualified to work with divorce clients with complex financial issues. As a certified Collaborative Family lawyer, he is one of a limited number in the area offering the Collaborative Divorce process whereby couples achieve an equitable divorce agreement without litigation or appearing in court.
Russell received a Bachelor of Science, Commerce and his Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Louisville. Additionally, he attended the University of Colorado, Boulder. He was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1981.
Russell is a member of the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations and the Kentucky Collaborative Family Network where he served as President in 2005. He is a graduate of Leadership Louisville and a past member of Bingham Fellows.
Russell is currently a director and member of the executive committee of the Public Radio Partnership. He is the past Director of the Louisville Orchestra, Music Theatre Louisville, Kentucky Derby Festival, and past President of the Advertising Federation of Louisville. Additionally, he is a past Governor of the American Advertising Federatioin, and member of the Center for Educational Leadership and Louisville Community Design Center.
Russell is married and has two children.
